Apathy Abated

If this moment could act it would retract

From the neglect and misunderstanding

From the understated fury

Filled with feeling

Devoid of meaning

Yet propelled by intent

And if I could be content

In a room too small

For two people to crawl past indifference

I would be ignorance

Asleep and distant

As a dream is within a lie
